“To tell a story is to move forward and backward in time at your sweet will and, in this unrestrained movement, to conquer time and reconstruct what otherwise would be irrevocably lost”

This blog is an attempt to collect and archive content by and about U.R. Ananthamurthy, one of the most prominent writers of modern Kannada literature. It aims to introduce the reader to Ananthamurthy’s life and work and to direct them to helpful sources where one can learn more about him. The activist-author’s life and writings have had a huge impact on not just Kannada literature, but on modern Indian thought. The writers of this blog hope, in some way, to help preserve the legacy of Ananthamurthy through this portal.

This blog is a component of the coursework for LITR201: New Literatures in English taught by Professor Kunal Ray at FLAME University, Pune.
